Jenny Mollen dropped her son on his head on Saturday evening causing him to fracture his skull and be admitted to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s intensive care unit.
The 39-year-old actress shared the news on social media saying that her 5-year-old is back at home now and is recovering.
“It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely,” Mollen said. “He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon.”
The “Live Fast Die Hot” author also gave a shout out to the hospital’s doctors and staff for their diligent work.
“I am forever grateful to Lenox hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid,” Mollen wrote. “Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor‘s bathrooms clean.”
Mollen shares her son, Sid, with “American Pie” actor Jason Biggs, whom she also thanked for his support during the incident.
The mom continued on, reassuring other parents out there who have dropped their kid before that they’re not alone.
“My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position,” Mollen finished off the post. “You are not alone.”
