From performing a haka to hosting “Saturday Night Live,” Jason Momoa tells USA TODAY about premiere week for his new superhero movie “Aquaman.”

Go ahead, try to picture a clean-shaven Jason Momoa. Can’t do it? Frankly, neither can we.
But we don’t have to, because he’s provided visual proof that the scraggly beard he wore throughout “Game of Thrones” and “Aquaman” is history.
“Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA,” he captioned an Instagram video in which he goes at his famous facial hair with an electric razor while standing in the desert talking about alternatives to bottled water.
“I’m SHAVING this beast off. It’s time to make a change,” Momoa, 39, explained. “A change for the better…for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet. Let’s clean up our oceans 🌊 our land ⛰. Join me on this journey. Let’s make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum. ♻️♻️♻️ Water in cans, not plastic.”
But he finishes shaving only half his face in the Instagram version, so you’ll have to watch the full YouTube video to see a baby-faced Momoa. But we promise, it’s worth it.
