‘Game of Thrones’-inspired products
Beer: New York-based Brewery Ommegang recently released “For The Throne,” the latest beer in a multi-year, multi-beer partnership with HBO. The beer is available at restaurants and retail locations across the country. Find the special brew with a search at www.ommegang.com/beer-finder.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Only for the premiere, the chain has special Dragon Fire Wings available for purchase at restaurants, for takeout orders placed on the restaurant app or website and orders delivered through DoorDash. The Dragon Fire sauce mixes chili and ghost peppers with soy and ginger sauce and the spicy wings are topped with a jalapeño garnish.
Hooters: Only on Sunday, April 14, enter promo code “3EYEDOWL” when ordering from Hooters on Uber Eats and receive free delivery, on orders over $10. Select customers, across the country, who order Hooters from Uber Eats will also have the chance to receive a special Gold Leafed Wing in a treasure chest and will automatically win free Hooters wings for a year from Uber Eats. Learn more at www.hooters.com.
Kool-Aid: There’s not a special product on store shelves yet, but the Kool-Aid Man is preparing for an epic showdown and it also involves ice and snow. The brand is coming out with a special edition flavor and is asking its Twitter fans to pledge their loyalty #ForTheIce or #ForTheFire for the chance to win.
Oreo: The limited-edition “GoT” snacks feature four embossed cookie designs, highlighting the Great Houses still battling for the Iron Throne and the enemy White Walkers beyond the wall. They went on sale April 8.
Mountain Dew: These special Mountain Dew cans, which cannot be bought, have no visible markings and are an icy white color. They were only available in Mountain Dew Iron Vending Machines in New York and Los Angeles through a social media promotion. When the blank cans are chilled the names on Arya’s kill list, including characters who killed some of her family, emerge.
Shake Shack: The chain has two special items available at participating restaurants. The Dragonglass Shake will be available through May 19 at locations nationwide, excluding stadiums, ballparks, transit centers and airports. But a special Dracarys Burger will only be available through April 21 at select Shacks, which are listed at www.shakeshack.com.
