Lucky Coachella attendees hoping to watch “Guava Island,” the short film starring Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) and Rihanna, can catch a screening in the car camping lot Friday evening.
And the rest of us can stream it a day later.
At the Coachella camping lot, “Guava Island” will be screened on stands several stories tall and made from several shipping containers stacked in a circular design. The exterior has been covered in red wooden panels.
A security official standing near the theater said it would open around 7 p.m. PDT. Gambino is set to perform on Coachella’s main stage at 11:25 p.m PDT.
Fans who are stuck at home, or don’t want to lose their spot at the festival, can catch the film Saturday on Amazon Prime Video at 12:01 a.m. PDT Saturday.
The movie was filmed in Cuba and is directed by Hiro Murai, who also directs Glover’s popular FX show “Atlanta.”
Amazon Prime Video tweeted a short teaser trailer of the tropical thriller on Wednesday.
