An LAPD spokesperson later confirmed their reports that the “Avengers” actress believed paparazzi were following her “in a dangerous fashion” after leaving a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night. She stopped at the Hollywood station to alert police of the incident but did not file a police report.
Johansson later headed home safely and without injury.
USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for the LAPD and Johansson for further comment.
The actress, 34, was on her way back from an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where she was promoting “Avengers: Endgame” (out April 26) along with co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd and Robert Downey Jr.
The cast talked about their favorite Marvel Universe memories, quotes and theories.
Johansson also dodged questions about a breakout movie based on her character, Black Widow: “Where? When? No, that’s a lot of words. I don’t know. I don’t know.”
