“Young and Restless” star Kristoff St. John was found dead at age 52. Police suspect he may have died after an alcohol overdose.
Kristoff St. John‘s memorial was missing one important person – his fiancee.
Kseniya Mikhaleva, who currently lives in Moscow, shared her heartbreak at being denied travel clearance to attend a funeral service for the “Young and the Restless” actor Monday. St. John died at the age of 52 on Feb. 3.
“Several weeks ago I applied for an ’emergency’ visa for the funeral to say goodbye my fiance and beloved,” she wrote on Instagram Monday. “Answer was ‘No.'”
She continued: “My heart is broken. I am going through this with a huge pain in my heart, and realize that I don’t have opportunity to say goodbye to him and put flowers on his grave. It is not right, not fair.”
St. John revealed their engagement on Instagram in September.
Mikhaleva said their relationship made her the “happiest women (sic) on Earth,” adding that everything changed in a matter of seconds following his sudden death last month.
“I still cannot believe that Kristoff is gone, so early, so unexpectedly, one month after our last meeting in Moscow,” she wrote alongside two pictures of the couple. “In the two years that we were together, he taught me so much… We planned to get married; we had many plans in the future together. With him gone, I have no idea what to do.”
In her emotional post, the Russia native expressed her frustration and grief over wanting nothing more than to be with “(St. John), his family, and his friends.”
“It’s scary, painful, that I cannot be with my loved one and his family on his last journey to eternal peace,” she wrote, before concluding, “RIP @kristoffstjohn.”
St. John’s ex-wife, Mia St. John, confirmed on Instagram that the soap opera star was buried Monday at the Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California, next to their son’s grave.
Julian St. John died of an apparent suicide in 2014 while in a mental health facility.
Sarah Ardalani, public information officer for the LA County Department of the Medical Examiner-Coroner, told USA TODAY that St. John was pronounced dead at a home in Woodland Hills. His cause of death has not yet been released.
