Miley Cyrus took Liam Hemsworth’s last name. Will she use it onstage?

It can be wintery, wet and windy on the BAFTA Film Awards red carpet. Luckily a special Style Suite has been set up at The Savoy to ensure nominees look their best, in all weather conditions. (Feb. 8)

It’s true: Miley Cyrus has officially taken Liam Hemsworth’s last name.

Hemsworth let the news drop Friday morning when the “Isn’t It Romantic?” star stopped by “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”

“(It’s) Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually,” said Hemsworth.

While Hemsworth told host Kelly Ripa that while it was his pop star wife’s idea to legally take his name, onstage, “she will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus. But she took my name, which is great.

“That was honestly one of the best things about it. I didn’t ask her to take my name, but she was like, ‘No, of course I’m taking your name.'”

And actually, Cyrus has two new names now. “I just have her in as ‘Wife’ in my phone now,” said Hemsworth.

The lovebirds, who met on the set of the 2010 film “The Last Song,” married over the holidays in a surprise ceremony in Tennessee.

“We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big,” said Hemsworth. “We find the whole thing kind of embarrassing – we know how we feel about each other, but we just wanted to do something simple and organic, with basically only immediate family. It was a really nice day.”
